Stock up

I found this great shop in Sonoma. It has a punny name, and I hate those, but the store itself is pretty full of covetable stuff.

There are a lot of retro fifties items -- I was there with my mother, who grew up then, and we had fun. But there are also lots of the kind of thing I always like (bags, things with letters on them, stuff referencing coffee -- or all three).

Butter side up

The other day I got this fantastic ceramic egg tray, to keep eggs in. I just put it in the fridge, but at least when I open my fridge I see it.

I can't find it online, but I did find this "ceramic tupperware" butter dish. No word on if the top has a plastic seal or if if it's all ceramic.

Cold air

My mother has a great old fridge -- but it's old. Rusty, damp and dripping. She needs a new one. One like this:

That's a Pastense fridge.

This is a Big Chill

Not sure about the name of this one.

Northstar has the freezer on the bottom, always a good thing.

Unfortunately, all of these are thousands of dollars...

I'm in charge

I got a covetable new pin for the lapel of my peacoat.

There are other ones, like Bride and Best Friend -- but clearly Head Girl is the best.

TV on the internet

I totally covet this absolutely brilliant night light. I mean, it's a TV and a flying saucer and a night light and it's purple and it's from Etsy...what more could you want???

Other covetables

So when you type "covetable" into Google, you get a bunch of stuff -- many online dictionaries, but also a fairly oddball collection of things. (This obviously changes as the bots go by.) Nike riding boots! China cabinets!

You also learn there are no anagrams for "covetable."

Sale-ability

Sparkability has wall decals on sale -- 15% with a code I can give you if you want. It's funny, I so much love these things but don't have a one up in my own home. Maybe I should remedy that...these are my favorite, by the way.

Cherry season

The owner of Skyn sent me a link to her site -- I like this laptop skin a lot. It would work best on a light-colored laptop like the one in the picture, I think.

Check baby out

Greg at Daddytypes posted about this baby monitor...with his usual erudition he went into the designer and the auction price and all that, but I just stared at the screen and coveted. I'm such a philistine. But seriously, could a baby monitor look better?

I mean, compare this to this!

Nerd patrol

The fantastic, covetable robots at Nerdbots are so sweet I can't stop thinking about them.

They're decently priced, but still certainly something to save up for.

In joke

Beautiful, no?

(And weren't these guys in Helvetica?)

Mammoth

I should have taken a picture because I can't find it online, but the Mammut series at IKEA -- otherwise known as the Toontown stuff -- has a crib! In pink or blue, which is lame. But still, there is something appealing about the solid/puffy look.
