Thing one, thing two

I keep boosting Objectified, and I haven't even seen it. (I planned to go to the screening in SF but there are some babysitting issues. Damn kid, interfering with my glamorous lifestyle!) But this is a grand poster, certainly worth the twenty bucks.

Essentials

I would never pay this much money for a tote, but I have to admit I like this. It pretty much sums up my shopping - or it would if there was a little pocket for CHEESE.

Packin' my bags

I have a new favorite for the imaginary overnight bag I don't have, but want.

Jane Marvel bags have great prints and look strong and capacious. I haven't seen one in the flesh, so to speak, but from the pictures they look pretty covetable.

Also, I'm very intrigued by this toiletries bag. It's not insanely huge, like the Eddie Bauer one I have, which I could practically pack for the weekend in. But it still unfolds and hangs. And check out the the awesome little round mirror.

She wears Banana Republic jeans

A friend of mine is getting a bag -- not this bag, but you know I'm in to the wristlets. I really like the fabric of this wristlet by Cotton Candy Boutique on Etsy.

Inch by inch

I like the little photos on the Etsy site of feaverish. Some of these would be great for art in a kid's room.

Robots obey what the children say

Okay, actually having to play this would drive me crazy (it's something about not touching the wires) but I find the box itself appallingly cute.

I feel like I'm not out of bed yet

So when I first found out about Tivoli radios I was actually looking for a clock radio for my mom. I ended up getting her a Model One, which is not a clock radio but is such an awesome radio that it doesn't matter.

Of course, now I see this. The Model Three.

An analog clock, too! The speaker is on top (that confused me for a while).

You. Roll.

Modernseed has some stuff on sale. I like this Uroll scooter - it's obviously still crazy much even on sale, but then again you can use it as a night table when the kid is done with it. Or as a stand for your Tivoli radio.

Kot-kot-kot-kodacs!

I'm pretty sure I've seen Jaime HayĆ³n's green chicken before, but I can't remember where. This time Anna sent it to me.

Of course, it would fall right over. But it's gorgeous anyway.

Hummingbirds vs. robots

I bought this Coelacanth bag today at my local fabric store. It's a nice size, smaller than a shopping bag but big enough for stuff.

Coelacanth also sells this great little robot tote that would make a great lunch bag if you added a a little velcro to the top (I mean, I don't know about you, but my stuff would fall out).

I don't have a link, but it looks like this.

That thing about cups? I meant these.

(Kitt's keeping me honest.)

Mushrooms and elephants

So also I was pretty psyched by this new series at IKEA in the kitchen department. It reminds me of my 1970s childhood. Even the colors call it back.

These are place mats. Pretty small.

This is a tray.

There were also glasses, smallish ones, but there's no picture online.

Hot coffee

We didn't buy anything fun at IKEA today, but I saw some things I liked.

Ten bucks each.

Sitt!

This is sort of like a mini Tripp-Trapp. The HandySitt is a tray-less booster to put on a chair, which can be a lot more useful than a high chair sometimes. It folds up, although honestly I never want to carry anything when I travel.

It's also great-looking, though a chunk of change. Comes with an add-on so it can be used on the floor, although it inevitably would be used as a stepstool too and I'm not sure how stable it is.

I think it's one of those things you might love, you might not use -- depends on your kid-feeding lifestyle. But at least people are making things that look nice, right?

Saw it at NOTCOT.
